Frederick W. Blalock Jr.
Owner and Chief Creative Officer

Since he first had the opportunity to come face-to-face with an Apple IIe, Fred Blalock has formed a relationship with digital opportunity that has taken him around the world.

Born and raised in Columbus, OH, he excelled early in computer related exploration & mischief. From programming codes that his teachers couldn’t crack to rewiring common electronics to do the extraordinary, Fred continued to immerse himself in technology. After graduating from Columbus Alternative High School he decided to head west to Los Angeles.

He received his Bachelors of Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. While at USC, Fred was instrumental in the development of a multitude of websites throughout the university. In a 4 year span Fred was responsible for over 50 different sites for over 15 different campus organizations. From the initial USC web portal to homemods.org, the largest website devoted to home modification in the world, he has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of cutting edge professionals in a setting that fosters collaboration and innovation. While at the Davis School of Gerontology, he helped with the development of the first accredited online graduate program in the Western United States, was integral in producing several multimedia educational programs including an online master’s degree in long-term care administration and has written several articles related to instructional technology and older person’s use of the Internet.

During his time at USC, Fred began to create a network of hard working colleagues that were extremely talented and trustworthy. With these like minded individuals, he began to plant the seeds for what would become TALENTPOOL DESIGN (TPD).

TPD, now in its 14th year of operation, is responsible for over 100+ different clients domestic & international.
